Day 1 - MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY
Drive to Targoviste, the capital of Wallachia during the reign of Prince Vlad. Visit the ruins of the Old Court and the Chindia Tower built by Vlad as a watch-tower and prison. Continue to Curtea de Arges another former capital of Wallachia during the 14th century to visit the ruins of the Old Princely Court built by Vlad’s ancestors and Manole’s Monastery an architectural jewel from 16th century. In the afternoon visit the ruins of the Poienari Fortress, built by the bare hands of the treacherous landlords.

Day 2 - TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY
The beautiful Olt Valley takes you to Sibiu, once the richest town in Transylvania. En route, visit the Cozia Monastery built in the 14th century by Mircea the Elder - Vlad the Impaler’s grandfather. The city tour in Sibiu includes the Evangelical Cathedral where Vlad’s son, Mihnea was buried after his assassination just outside the church. Continue to Medias, the town where Vlad the Impaler was kept prisoner by the Hungarian King, Matei Corvin. En route to Sighisoara, visit the Biertani fortified church (listed on UNESCO’s list of World Cultural Heritage).

Day 3 - WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY
Sighisoara, the best preserved medieval town in Europe is also the place where Prince Vlad was born in 1431. A visit to the History Museum, The Arms Gallery and The Torture Room will take you back in medieval times. Depart for Brasov, and hear the tales of the rich Saxon merchants. After a brief city tour of Brasov continue to Bran and visit Dracula’s Castle. The castle guarded for centuries the border between Wallachia and Transylvania.

Day 4 - THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY
Treat yourself with a visit of the Peles Castle, the former summer royal residence of the first Romanian King. Drive to Snagov Monastery, situated on a small island and pay a last respect to Prince Vlad at his gravesite. Continue to Bucharest the capital of Romania founded by Prince Vlad in 1459. The day ends with a panoramic city tour.
